Privacy
This page explains, in plain language, what trouvli stores when you browse the directory, leave a review, or answer a survey. Last reviewed September 2026.
What we store
- Account details you give us: your name and email address.
- Business listings: name, address, district, categories, website, and any photos you upload.
- Reviews you publish, including the rating, headline, and comment.
- Survey responses, including contact details when the form asks for them.
- Technical records such as a hashed IP address and a session cookie, used to keep forms working and to block abuse.
- Anonymous daily totals for each business page: how often it is opened, how often its Call, WhatsApp, Email, Website and Directions buttons are tapped, and how often its QR code is scanned. These totals carry no IP address, cookie or device details, and are deleted after 400 days.
What is public
Published listings and reviews are public, and appear in the directory and on the business page. Survey answers are visible to the business that runs the survey, not to the directory.
Offers and who sees your details
- When you leave a review you can tick two optional boxes, both unticked to start with: offers from trouvli, and offers from the business you reviewed.
- The business you review sees your name and your reviews of it. It sees your email address and phone number only if you ticked its offers box, booked with it, or it invited you to review.
- trouvli keeps one customer record for each email address, so reviewing several businesses doesn't create duplicates. We only send you offers if you ticked the trouvli box.
- Your review is only recorded against your email address after you confirm that address.
- We email an offer only to confirmed addresses of people who ticked that box, and every offer has a link to unsubscribe.
Your choices
- You can edit or delete a review while signed in to the account that published it.
- You can delete your account from the settings pages, which removes the listings and reviews that belong to it.
- To ask about answers held by a business you completed a survey for, contact that business directly.
